Woven Abstractions

Cotton rope, made up of hundreds of strings, are the feature element in the Flourish series. Each piece is framed with ambrosia maple, walnut or poplar, the frame doing double-duty as a loom. The warp "string” is woven through the sides of the frame and held under tension, allowing the cotton rope to be tightly and randomly woven and knotted along its surface.
