Felt sculptures are the new addition to my art, expanding my explorations of line, colour, texture, and placing a greater emphasis on space and volume. Felt, made with wool fibres, is earthy, organic and tactile, and my preference is for working in natural and subdued colours that draw me closer to the land as the source of my material. As with my silk canvases, I work with a minimalist eye, searching for an understated dynamism, a balance between expression and restraint.
